I went into the Tuttio Soleil 01 expecting a budget e-bike that would feel like a toy next to the Sur-Ron and Talaria. I was wrong. The Soleil 01 is a genuinely capable off-road machine that punches way above its price point — and for teens and newer riders stepping into electric, it might be the smartest buy in the segment right now.
RIDE IMPRESSIONS
1First Impressions
The Soleil 01 looks more serious in person than in photos. The frame is solid, the plastics feel durable, and the 14-inch front wheel gives it a proper dirt bike stance rather than the toy-like look you get from some budget e-bikes. At 105 lbs it's not light, but it feels well-balanced when you're moving it around. The hydraulic disc brakes front and rear are a genuine surprise at this price — most bikes in this range cut corners there.
2Power & Motor
The 2000W–3000W mid-drive motor has more punch than the numbers suggest. Low-end torque is strong — strong enough to climb steep terrain without breaking a sweat, which is exactly what Tuttio claims. The throttle response is smooth and predictable, which makes it approachable for newer riders while still being genuinely fun for more experienced ones. Top speed caps out at 37 mph, which is the right call for a bike aimed at teens and adults who are still building confidence.
3Handling & Suspension
This is where the Soleil 01 really separates itself from the budget pack. The 40mm front fork and adjustable rear suspension are the real deal — not the stiff, pogo-stick setups you find on cheaper e-bikes. On trail riding, the bike soaks up roots and rocks properly. The 14-inch front and 12-inch rear tires are built for actual off-road use, and you can feel it in corners. It tracks well, holds lines, and doesn't get nervous on loose terrain.
4Range & Battery
The 48V 21Ah battery delivers a claimed 45-mile range, and in real-world trail riding that figure holds up reasonably well — expect 35–45 miles depending on terrain and how hard you're riding. Charge time is around 3 hours from empty, which is the fastest of the three bikes in our comparison. The battery is well-integrated into the frame and doesn't look like an afterthought.
5Who Is This For?
The Soleil 01 is the right bike for teens stepping into electric off-road riding, adults who want a capable trail bike without spending $3,000+, and anyone who wants to see what electric dirt bikes are about before committing to a Sur-Ron or Talaria. It's not a race bike — 37 mph and a 105 lb weight mean it won't keep up with the big dogs on a track. But on trails, backyard riding, and casual off-road use, it's genuinely excellent.

FINAL VERDICT
RODDY'S TAKE
The Tuttio Soleil 01 is the best value electric off-road bike I've tested. Full suspension, hydraulic brakes, real off-road tires, and genuine trail capability for $1,299 — nothing else comes close at this price. It's not trying to be a Sur-Ron, and it doesn't need to be. For teens, newer riders, or anyone wanting a capable trail bike without breaking the bank, this is the one to get.
